Personality:
Brookpaw is rather complex for such a young cat; she went through quite a bit when she was a kit, so she doesn't really know what to think about some things sometimes.Apperance:
When Brook grows attached to someone or something, she becomes very protective over it. This isn't always a good thing, but she would throw herself onto the Thunderpath for someone she loved.
She's usually very energetic, and a meddie cat apprentice who acts like she's just downed 7 Red Bulls probably gets on people's nerves. Brook knows she's bothering people, but that's part of the fun.
Even though she's irritating sometimes, she can always be counted on to cheer people up or make them laugh. If cats could have ADHD, then Brook would be the poster child.
It may be because of her her hyperactivity, but she is the epitome of an insomniac. Brookpaw probably gets about 3 hours of sleep each day, and has been living like that since she was about 4 moons. Sometimes she speculates that it may have something to do with her past, but she barely ever sleeps, no matter what the reason.
Brook loves swimming and she loves water. It makes her feel calmer, and she feels more connected to her ancestors that way, since she's not jumping around being hyper.
She's kind of rude, and tends to interrupt people a lot. Brookpaw doesn't have a lot of regard for people's feelings, but if she insults you, she's being honest.
Brookpaw loves to be sarcastic. Especially when the person doesn't get her sarcasm. She has a very twisted sense of humor and view of entertainment, and sarcasm is part of both.
She has an irrational fear of never doing anything worth mentioning in the future, so she's always trying to prove herself to everyone. This tends to get her into quite a good bit of trouble, but she won't stop until she achieves greatness and finds a place where she can be astonishing.
Brookpaw likes to help people. Yeah, this is kind of a contradiction, considering she's not the nicest cat around, but she really does, and that's why she's going to be a med cat.
Though she may be sort of crazy and irritating, she truthfully is rather quiet and sweet on the inside. Even though she may not always show it, she's really not all bad.
Brookpaw has sort of long fur, and though she always keeps it perfectly groomed, she isn't afraid to get dirty. Her pelt is mostly black, but she has dapples of orange on her feet, face, back, chest, and a little bit at the base of her tail. The 2 spots where her flecks of ginger are the most prominent is an area around her left eye, her nose, her chin, & a bit under her right eye, and a spot on her neck & chest.History:
Her ears have small tufts of fur at the top of them, and also longer bits of hair at the bottom of her ears.
Brook's tail is kind of thin at the base, and her fur begins to flare out at the tip, making it look somewhat like the tail of a lion.
Her paws are a little wide, especially her back paws, but it's not very noticeable. She has speckles of orange on her front left paw and both of her back paws, making her front right paw the only paw with no orange on it. The bottom of all her feet have pure black padding.
Brookpaw was raised as a normal kit for the first few moons of her life. She had siblings (Dawnkit, Ravenkit, and Cloudkit), a loving mother, a caring father until one day her father, Onyxpelt, was murdered by badgers. There were loads of them, and they kept coming by the dozen. They sent out some other warriors to help when they heard, but it was too late.
When Brook's mother, Rosethorn, learned about her mate's death, she took her four kits and left DuskClan for good. Her kits traveled with her for several weeks, and two died along the way.
When they finally settled down somewhere, there were two kits, Brook and Dawn, and their mother, who was now going by Rose. They found themselves living in an alley in the heart of New York City.
Well, they stayed there, struggling to stay alive until Brook and Dawn were 4 moons old. Some rogue cats came around and constantly tried to run them out of the alley they were living in. They would pick fights with Rose, who was becoming very sick, until one day and one of the rogues took her away, leaving the kits to fend for themselves.
For about a moon and a half, Brook and Dawn just walked around the city; getting stepped on, drenched, kicked around, and being forced to eat from dumpsters since they didn't have hunting skills. They were continuing their daily routine of struggling to find shelter when they heard these odd sounds, like a cat-fight between a tom and a she-cat. They followed the noises to find Rose and one of the rogue cats fighting to the death. Brook and Dawn jumped in, trying to save Rose, but ultimately failing.
The band of rogues cackled hoarsely and left them there, Rose dead, Dawn mortally wounded, and Brook pretty banged up. Brook desperately tried to nurse Dawn back to health, but only being a kit, she knew of nothing that could heal her, so she prayed to StarClan. She prayed that Rose's soul would make it there safely, and Dawn would either live or make it to StarClan as well, but hoping on the former. Dawn didn't survive, and Brook was left on her own.
She slept in a box for about a week, until she decided to return to DuskClan, and she made it there, weak, underfed, and in dire need of medical attention, after several moons of traveling.
